With the new M4 competition out of the box, it was just a matter of waiting for a test between the three competitors, the Audi RS5, the Mercedes C63s and the M4 Competition. Fortunately, they are not the least in Carwow and have experienced what everyone has been waiting for. Who is the fastest!
To give insight into cars and perhaps better understand racing, some Vehicle Statistics.
Starting with the Audi RS5. The RS5 is equipped with a 2.9-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine with 450 hp and 600 Nm. In addition, the RS5, as it is known among enthusiasts, is equipped with the well-known Quattro (all-wheel drive) system. This raises the weight of the car to about 1715 kilograms.
Then Mercedes C63s AMG. The heart of the famous Mercedes 4.0-liter V8, 510 hp and 700 Nm! The car is rear-wheel drive and weighs about 1,730 kg.
And finally, the well-known new BMW M4 Competition with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder rear-wheel drive 510 hp 650 Nm and weighs, just like the C63s AMG, around 1,730 kg.
As you read, the RS5 is the only one of the three equipped with AWD that should give an edge during the race. However, this works very differently and especially the BMW M4 Competition knows how to amaze many in the various tests carried out.
