Intel says the Raptor Lake chipset issues are over

After several months of research, Intel has provided a definitive answer to the Raptor Lake chipset’s problems. Too high voltage was the problem.

Intel states that its problems with its Raptor Lake computer chips (13th and 14th generation) are now completely over. This was due to too high voltage and this issue has now been resolved via microcode updates.

Problem with Intel processors

Although it is certain that processors that have not encountered any issues so far will no longer have to deal with the problem, this does not apply to processors that have already encountered the problem. It is broken beyond repair and such an update makes no sense. Now Intel has created an extension of warranty for this, so people whose processor malfunctions can contact the brand’s customer service.

vs Edge Intel says that the so-called Vmin Shift Instability is not necessarily the problem. I investigated the origins of this instability and then concluded that it was a very high voltage. So the instability of Vmin Shift is also the problem. Intel chips and motherboards require very high voltages, which damages parts of the processors, causing them to undergo an accelerated aging process, so to speak. Intel: “Intel has found that these conditions can lead to shift in clock duty cycle and system instability.”

BIOS update

If you want to prevent this, it is best to download the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. If you are already having problems, you should register your processor with Intel or the store where you purchased your computer as soon as possible. According to Intel, the problem only occurred with desktop computers, not laptops.

It’s good that Intel has the issue under control, as it may have another project to focus on. It is said to be about to be acquired by another well-known chipset maker: Qualcomm.
