Chiro Vlaanderen and Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen respond to “very happy and very satisfied” to the agreement reached on extracurricular activities for children and youth. “Shiro is very pleased that this sector has been heard and that an opportunity is also being offered to those over 12, as everything has been shut down since the autumn break,” said Nils de Seoller, National Secretary.
The scouts at Gidsen Vlaanderen are generally very satisfied with the result and, in consultation with the youth sector, they will discuss how to translate this into the field in practice. “Everything is subject to the decision of the advisory committee,” said spokesman Jan van Roussel.
“There is an understanding of adapting to smaller bubbles in the age group of 12. The practical effect will not be evident, especially for the smallest of small groups. Van Reusel is also pleased with the confidence placed in the responsibility of youth work.
