Microsoft introduces new Copilot features in several Office applications and launches Copilot AI agents.
Copilot is already built into many Office applications and is a constant tool for some users to automate and speed up their processes. Now, Copilot applications in Office are getting new features, such as Copilot in Excel with Python or “Prioritize my inbox” in Outlook. Co-pilot everywhere
Copilot is already built into several different Office applications, but now it has a bunch of new features. For example, Copilot in Excel is now generally available and new skills have been added. According to Microsoft, Copilot allows you to perform advanced analytics in Excel using Python, based on natural language. Copilot in Excel with Python is in public preview.
Outlook has also been overhauled and has a new “Prioritize my inbox” feature. Copilot analyzes priority messages based on the content of your email and the context of your role. Additionally, Copilot automatically summarizes long emails for you. This feature won’t be available in public preview until late 2024.
