Netherlands Short Film Festival – Bottle Post from Alkmaar

You can have dinner and watch special festival short films during the Netherlands Short Film Festival. The selected films will be shown during special film dinners in various restaurants in the North of the Netherlands. Of course also in Alkmaar! The program includes many comedies and happy films, but also beautiful films that you only see at festivals.

Calibration building and Fallon Hotel These are the participating restaurants in Alkmaar. Short films are shown, with an emphasis on comedies and films with a high spirit. The selection of films is a surprise, there is at least one winner from last year, all of them are outstanding. In January, the official festival takes place throughout the North of the Netherlands on Blue Monday.

The films last from two to thirty minutes and are shown during dinner. Between courses you can watch special films from all over the world. For the 2024 edition there are films from Japan, Iran, Tunisia, France, Italy, Germany, India, Korea, the United Kingdom, America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, in short films from about 47 different countries and cultures.

Watching movies and eating creates a special atmosphere. Between movies you can enjoy delicious dishes and talk about movies with your friends. There is limited space, and an evening ticket costs 49 – 69 euros, depending on the restaurant. This includes movies and a lavish menu (excluding drinks).
