Passenger with no flying experience lands private jet safely after pilot fails | abroad

A passenger on a private American plane managed to land the plane safely at Florida Airport. It appears that the pilot has become ill and is no longer able to fly the plane himself.

The passenger, who was not named, told air traffic control via radio yesterday that there was a “serious condition” on board the plane. “My pilots are all over the world and I have no idea how to fly a plane.” Then air traffic control ordered the passenger to stop the plane itself. “Try to keep the wings flat and see if you can go down. Push the joystick forward and go down very slowly,” you hear the air traffic controller say to the man over the radio. “Try to follow the coast, north or south. We are trying to locate you.”

The private plane was able to land safely at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. Air traffic control sent a message to other planes: “I just saw that some passengers stopped that plane.” An American Airlines pilot responded abruptly: “Oh my God, well done.”

In addition to the pilot, there were two passengers on board the Cessna 208. The pilot experienced a “potential medical problem,” according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Nothing else was known about his condition. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
