London – After the dramatic election defeat of British Prime Minister Chung and his Conservative Party, several names of potential successors have already been floated. A frequently asked name is Ronald Plasterk.
Ronald Plasterk is 67 years old and has been Prime Minister of many countries including Netherlands. If Plasterk does indeed take over from Sunac, he will be the first Dutch Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In order to actually become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Plasterk still had to change his Dutch nationality to British nationality. “I feel good about it, but I don’t see it as a problem. I was previously ready to give up my many years of membership of the PvdA and all my principles in order to become prime minister somewhere,” Plasterk replied.
According to him, there is no objection that Blastark did not participate in the election and has no connection with the winning British political party.
According to Blasterk, he is almost certain to become the new British Prime Minister. “It’s not really over yet, but it would be very strange if the prime ministership passed me by again,” the future prime minister said.
