Source: British River Thames Dry For “First Time” | Weather news

‘The Rivers Trust’ is an environmental organization for England’s rivers.

The River Thames begins to flow five miles near Somerford Keynes. According to Rob Collins of ‘The Rivers Trust’, it is “a weak stream that is barely visible”.

It will be a result of the drought in England. “With a changing climate, we can only assume that the frequency and severity of periods of drought and water scarcity will increase,” Collins said. “This can have a devastating impact on aquatic life.”

And this situation doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. The British Weather Service has predicted that the heat and drought in the UK will not end yet. Rain is unlikely next week, especially in the south as temperatures rise back into the mid-thirties. However, it currently lacks new records like half of last month.

Thames Water, the utility responsible for public water supply and wastewater treatment in much of England, has yet to take any steps to ban the use of garden hoses. It urges consumers to use tap water responsibly.
