The truck became famous through the book To the wild From 1996, but mainly because of the 2007 movie of the same name, based on the life of McCandless. He died of starvation in the truck. McCandless wanted to live in the wild in the car that was installed there in the 1960s.
Barbaric life

In May, a major rescue operation had to be launched to help the three Germans return to civilization.
