Workshops, practical activities and demonstrations: Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the oceans and explore with CNRS scientists at Exploradôme on Saturday, October 5, 2024!
What is hidden at the bottom of the ocean? What are the genetic characteristics of marine animals? How does the ocean interact with the atmosphere?
WWhat is the lifestyle of coastal people? As part of the Science Festival 2024, the CNRS will run Exploradôme for an afternoon full of workshops, scientific experiments, games and meetings with CNRS researchers on the theme “Ocean of Knowledge”.
CNRS scientists invite you to discover the universe and the secrets of the oceans from the perspectives of geology, biology, sociology, geography, astrophysics and physics. Come experiment, investigate and play to learn about scientific logic and build your own knowledge.

Mysterious Objects: Discover everyday objects and tools in the lab.
Put on your detective costume! CNRS scientists will test your curiosity: discover a selection of objects related to their research and try to unravel the secret of their laboratory work through dialogue and manipulation.
“Scientific tour “: Magic trick? No, science! And it’s not that magic: Come and discover what water does and how hurricanes are formed.
The “Tour de Science” workshops are interactive and take you on a multifaceted discovery of the oceans, from the perspective of technology, physics, computer science and biology. The choice is yours: watch a live science demonstration or take part in a hands-on experience!
Who are you? Meet the scientists of the National Center for Scientific Research!
From the formation of Mars to the discovery of the oceanic lithosphere, our scientists discuss their work with you!
In a friendly atmosphere you can have a quick research discussion with scientists from all kinds of disciplines during a set period of time. Switch tables at the bell and meet another researcher.
MOral Talk: Explore the topic of water pollution in a fun way and talk to science enthusiasts in a friendly atmosphere.Come and meet and talk with researchers and facilitators in a fun and friendly environment through the “Oral Talk” workshop. Your task is to listen to the scientific statement and convey it as faithfully as possible.
Can you take up the challenge? Learn about water issues, and more specifically water pollution, from a physical perspective.
Brico’Lab: Discover technology and how to solve a real problem in the Brico’lab workshop.
Come and face the challenges of the Brico’lab workshop! Keywords: crafting, experimenting alone or together, trying, failing, trying again and above all, having fun.
There are no wrong answers here, only solutions: your own. This workshop is your chance to build your own solution, learn about engineering, and solve a real-world problem!
