Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa
Lenovo will present a new basic smartwatch at CES tech fair in the US. Basic is the simpler and cheaper alternative to smart watch 2 released by the company in June. Remarkably, this watch works with Alexa instead of Google Assistant. Unlike Assistant, Alexa does not yet work with the Dutch language.
The Smart Clock Essential with Alexa comes without a touch screen and instead has a regular LCD screen. Of course you can see the time in it, but you also see your alarms, the weather forecast or the title of the song being played. The device works with 3 watt speakers.
The new watch has a fabric case and physical buttons. You can use it to set an alarm or adjust the volume. There is also a USB port through which you can charge your phone. You can disable Alexa listening ears electronically using the slider.

This time, the Smart Clock Essential was given the same size as the Smart Clock 2, which was a conscious choice by Lenovo. This is how the device works with the docking station in Smart Clock 2 As a night lamp and wireless charger. Lenovo is also releasing a new Ambient Light Dock that acts as a night lamp and flashes a colorful light. There are eight different lighting modes and you can ask Alexa to adjust the light.
