Watch movies together from a distance: Disney launches new …

Disney + is coming out with a new job. With GroupWatch, as a subscriber, you can watch movies and series with friends and family, even when you are not together. The new feature allows up to seven people to watch Disney + simultaneously across web browsers, mobile devices, and smart TVs, as well as share live responses with each other.

“Stories come to life when you can share and enjoy them together,” said Jerrell B. Jimerson of Disney +. In today’s age when so many are still separated from friends and family, GroupWatch provides a way to communicate in a safe and virtual way by watching your favorite stories with your favorite people in the comfort of your own living room.

Subscribers can take advantage of the feature by clicking on the GroupWatch icon on the series or movie detail page.

Then they get a link that invites up to six other people to watch it together. Invitations must be sent from a mobile device or web browser, but the series or movie can also be watched from a smart TV.

Simultaneous playback allows each participant to pause for a toilet break, rewind to replay a favorite scene or fast-forward to the entire group. While watching, viewers can also respond in real time with six different emojis via the Disney + app.

At the start of the pandemic, when everyone had to stay in their room, the Netflix Party also became popular. However, this extension did not come from the streaming service itself.
