Discovery Track was there to literally bring the science closer and “of course to show that science is a lot of fun!” On Tuesday, students of ITEps (NHL Stenden’s International Teacher Training College) were taught by Theo Jurriens, a former Meppeler scientist and astronomer from the university. Jurriens told the students how motivated he was to become an astronomer. When he was a little kid he already thought it cool to look at the stars through a telescope. “Stay curious. And look for people who can help you more,” was his advice to the students, who listened attentively to his stories.
