In the field of innovation and sustainability in agriculture and horticulture, Dutch agri-food companies and knowledge agencies have ample opportunities to collaborate more closely with their partners in the United Kingdom. The decision follows a visit to the Netherlands in late May by a delegation from the British Department of Agricultural Technology.

British participants are interested in the close collaboration between companies and business, government and research / education in the Netherlands. They see plenty of opportunities to collaborate ‘overseas’. The visit was a continuation of an earlier report by the London Agricultural Group on the post – Brexit opportunities in the British agro-technical sector for the Netherlands. “The tour was supposed to take place earlier, but was postponed due to the Govt-19,” said Philip de Zhang, council of agriculture. “The Netherlands and the UK have similar challenges regarding making agriculture more sustainable, but there are also differences in the approach needed. We look at where and how we can complement each other.
