Young people are increasingly looking for recommendations in video applications via text-based search engines. Internal research by Google shows that 40% of young people, for example, when looking for a place to have lunch, first go to TikTok or Instagram instead of Google Maps or Google search. This is a potential problem for current social media companies and search engines. Because those who have mastered searching for videos can then associate in-app commerce with it and thus generate income based on users’ needs.
