Want to can some giant bugs after Helldivers 2? Then Starship Troopers: Annihilation might be something for you. The game has been released into early access and is now officially available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. To celebrate, developer Offworld has put together a launch trailer for the game.
However, it must be said that Exterminating has a completely different gameplay than Helldivers 2. You are part of a group of about 16 players who have to work together to achieve all kinds of mission objectives in the campaign that you play with the entire community. The focus is also very much on defense and managing your base properly.
What’s great is that eruption holes as well as dead insect corpses remain for the duration of missions. This gives you dynamic obstacles that reshape the landscape.
There is currently no plan for a first season, because developer Offworld first wants to address issues that have gone unnoticed. Until the end of the year, the studio will make adjustments where necessary, but will also address possible bugs, maintain balance and much more. The first DLC is expected to debut in early 2025.
