Developer Red Barrels has been busy with the game’s second season, which was postponed due to a “cyber incident.” The studio has now revealed what we can expect from Season 2.

They did On X. The post is not visible to everyone, so the image with their future plans for the game can also be viewed below. Before announcing the roadmap, the studio shared Red Barrels On their website Message regarding development of upcoming content for The Outlast Trials, which has been delayed due to a “cybersecurity event.” The studio stresses that murky cybersecurity matters have nothing to do with in-game players and their data.

The new roadmap reveals that there is a new in-game event coming called Geister. This comes with a new challenge and a new lobby mini-game. And soon after that we can expect the second season of the game: Winter Kills. This second season includes a new map, new challenges, new NPCs, and new stories.
