Breda – It’s a well-known name in and around Prinsenhage: Nana Vanderploem’s ballet school. But after 47 years, the famous ballet school is coming to an end. Nana and Arno quit.
Nana and Arno left the Nana Vanderploem ballet school. They shared the news on social media. For at least 47 years, the Drive Ballet School in Prinsenhage has been the place where enthusiastic dancers take lessons. Nana and Arno make the decision “with pain in their hearts.” “For now, we’ll go for a bit Weeks of wonderful lessons in which we gradually bid farewell to all our outstanding students. The advertisement received many reactions. Many people describe the suspension as a “loss for Prinsenhage”. The building on Dreef has now been sold and will soon be given a new purpose.
About the ballet school
Nana van der Pluem started her own ballet school in October 1977. During the first years she rented various locations in Breda. In 1988, she bought the building in the Drive area, where the ballet school has been located ever since.
