Algeria denounces European countries’ support for Morocco

According to Algeria, these countries show that they “fundamentally do not believe in the United Nations principle of protecting resources in non-self-governing territories.” Algeria said that ignoring the court’s ruling shows “a lack of respect for the relevant rules of international and European law,” hoping to change the minds of countries.

Algeria expects European countries, the European Commission and the Council of the European Union to “fully comply with the final rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union.” Algeria stressed that the rulings leave no room for further appeal or appeal.

Last Friday, the European Court of Justice ruled that two agreements in the field of agriculture and fishing with Morocco were invalid. The European Union stated that these agreements are null and void because they were concluded “without the consent of the Sahrawi people.” Morocco objects to this statement, but Algeria is satisfied. The country views the ruling as confirmation of the illegality of trade agreements with Morocco.
