Silent Hill 2 Remake received a particularly warm reception from players and press alike, who praised not only the updated (and absolutely gorgeous) graphics, but also how well Team Bloober managed to maintain the unsettling atmosphere of the original game.
Sales were also excellent, with over a million copies sold within a few days – something that took much longer for the original. Now many of us are hoping that Bloober will remake more Silent Hill movies.
Fortunately, the Bloober team itself seems to be very interested in this idea. In one interview The game director said the following:
“I think we’re always open. If we like a chance, we take it. There are chances you have to take. Just like Silent Hill 2, you can recreate the legend. So, yeah, I really think anything is possible.”
However, the decision to produce more Silent Hill remasters is mainly up to Konami. But if Silent Hill 2 Remake’s sales continue to be as good as they have been, there’s a good chance that Bloober will be tasked with making more remakes based on the series.
