The jury of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, chaired by Isabelle Huppert, awarded the following films from among 21 competing titles last Saturday.

Golden Lion for Best FilmThe Room Next to Pedro Almodóvar (Spain)

Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize: Vermiglio by Mura Del Piero (Italy, France, Belgium)

Silver Lion – Best Director Award Brady Corbett from The BRUTALIST (UK)

Volpi Cup for Best Actress:Nicole Kidman in BABYGIRL directed by Halina Raine (USA)

Volpi Cup for Best Actor:Vincent Lindon in the film JOUER AVEC LE FEU (The Silent Son) by Delphine Colin and Muriel Colin (France)

Best Screenplay Award By Murillo Hauser and Heitor Loriga
About the film AINDA ESTOU AQUI by Walter Salles (Brazil, France)

Special Jury Award For the film: APRIL by Dia Koulombegashvili (France, Italy, Georgia).

Marcello Matroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress:Paul Kircher
In the film LEURS ENFANTS APRÈS EUX (AND THEIR CHILDREN AFTER THEM) by director
Ludovic Boukherma and Zoran Boukherma (France)

In addition to Isabelle Huppert, the jury consisted of directors James Gray (Ad Astra), Andrew Hay (45 years), Agnes Holland (Beethoven traditionKleber Mendonça Filho (Buckaroo), Abdel Rahman Sissako (Timbuktu), Giuseppe Tornatore (No problem), Julia von Heinz (Standing order) and Zhang Ziyi (House of Flying Daggers).
