EA Sports FC and eFootball will face serious competition from free-to-play football game UFL.

EA and Konami are finally getting serious when it comes to soccer games. The new free-to-play soccer simulation game UFL from developer Strikerz Inc. now has a final release date.

UFL will be released two weeks before EA Sports FC 25 on September 12, 2024 as a free-to-play digital title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Get started even earlier, on September 4, 2024.

UFL has conducted two open beta tests with over 1.5 million people participating. The game was developed using Unreal Engine 5. Star player Cristiano Ronaldo is the face of UFL and is also an investor in the project. The Portuguese superstar is said to have invested around $40 million to make the project possible.

UFL lets you create your own team made up of thousands of real football stars. The gameplay is easy to get into but hard to master. Skill plays an important factor, as do strategies.

“We are excited to launch UFL on September 12,” said Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., in a press release. “We can’t wait to see players around the world enjoy their time and thank them for the valuable feedback they have provided us during the two phases of open beta testing. The launch of UFL is a milestone in our journey, but we also recognize that this is just the beginning. We will continue to update the UFL gaming experience for all fans around the world on a regular basis.”

UFL will be free-to-play on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 starting September 14, 2024.
