Sand dunes (USA 2021). Action movie from Denis VilleneuveWith Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, and Sharon Duncan Brewster. We write 10,191 and to explain the relationships in the universe you would need a whole book (book Frank Herbertfrom 1965, on which this film is based) or two, because director Villeneuve only completed half of the book with this film. It’s actually called Dune. Sand Dunes Part 1 It revolves around the noble quest. Paul Atreides (Chalamet), who must fight rebellious Fremen, the Emperor’s intergalactic forces, and giant sandworms on the desert planet Arrakis.
The dunes constantly balance on an impressive and hideous edge, sometimes crossing it, but not a single dull second (out of more than two and a half hours) and are stunningly beautifully shot. The music is by Hans Zimmer, now one of the most prolific and certainly one of the most successful film composers of our time, and the first album (!) containing fragments of the film’s soundtrack was released in early September 2021: sand dunes sketchbookA week later, the “real” soundtrack was released.
