Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight in doubt again after worrying update on Tyson’s health

The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has already been postponed, but it increasingly looks like the new date will not be met either. Iron Mike has given a worrying update on his health, although he is confident he will be fit in time.

During the Cage Wars event on September 13 in Schenectady, New York, where the 58-year-old Tyson was a commentator, he gave an update on his preparations. “It’s hard to walk right now, but in two months I’ll be perfect,” he said. He also noted that his condition is “still a little shaky,” but stressed that he competed for six rounds and that “the fight will be won in the gym.” He plans to step up his training in the coming weeks.

Since the announcement, Tyson has been plagued by health issues. For example, he had to pull out of the original July 20 fight plan after suffering a stomach ulcer during a flight. Despite these setbacks, Tyson has indicated that he will be fit enough for the new date, November 15.

The fight is scheduled for November 15 for eight two-minute rounds. Jake Paul had previously suggested extending this to ten three-minute rounds, but that has yet to happen. Tyson is expected to undergo additional medical tests as Netflix and other organizers are concerned about his health. These tests will take place on November 14, just one day before the fight. Despite these doubts, Jake Paul has yet to secure a replacement opponent and is confident the fight will go ahead.
