Renault 4 gets a matching caravan: the R4 Carapate

The R4 Carapate is a small caravan with an old look

The new small caravan was designed by Carapate Aventure, a startup from Nantes, France that was founded in 2019 to revive the “teardrop” that was invented in the United States. This seems more than successful with the R4.

Actual photos are still missing, so we have to make do with the designers’ video (which you can find at the bottom of this article, which shows that the small caravan can be towed by the new Renault 4 E-Tech). The weight of the caravan is 560 kilograms, and its length is 3.85 meters and its width is 1.92 meters. What is particularly striking is that the R4 Carapate completely matches the tow vehicle in terms of color and appearance, and the car is distinguished by the distinctive taillights, blue color, and the car logo.

Almost the entire side of the mini RV can be opened, so you can create a real outdoor feel. Through the large window you will definitely enjoy watching the stars. There’s also a sleeping area that you can convert into a sofa (or vice versa of course), a small closet and an outdoor kitchen.

We have not yet been able to find more information, but once you learn more about R4 Carapate, of course you will read it. However, it will be available starting next year.
