The fact that Britons want to leave the European Union is something Julia Feldman finds difficult to accept. That’s why I came up with a fun campaign: The Breunion Boys. A boy band declares its love for England, hoping the Brits will change their minds.

“Britain, come back to us. It’s never too late to come back,” says the chorus of the song “Britain, Come Back,” written and composed by Flavia Fass. “I have great hope that it will work,” Julia Feldman told RTL News.

Take this

The initiator lived temporarily in the United States when the Brexit referendum was held. “I was there during the presidential election and it was very intense. I was feeling homesick for Europe. For my homeland, where things are so well arranged. When England voted for it.” Leaves He chose, that was actually a slap in the face.”

This feeling that overwhelmed her reminded Julia of the breakup of Take That in 1996. She felt the same way then. “When I Googled it, it also turned out that in the area where Take That and The Beatles are from, a lot of people voted to leave the EU. I immediately thought: a band is the way to reach them.”

Tests

Julia, a visual storyteller, worked on her project for a year. She auditioned to form the perfect band and scout band member Hajo, Amsterdam Hercules according to the website, at a club. Getting the band together was a great job, because not only did they have to sing well and look good, they also had to support the message. “I found five men who, for a different reason, really feel European.”

The message Julia wants to get across to the Briunion Boys is not: You made a mistake and you need to take us back. But: We want you back, and this is possible, explains the Amsterdam native. “This is also a message I have not yet heard within the European Union.”

Julia believes the project can come to fruition. “Anyway, the chaos is already huge. There are more and more calls for a second referendum. The British did choose to leave the EU in 2016 and you have to respect that statement, but most of them didn’t know what they were voting on. So it’s good that they chose once Other knowledge today.”

About 75 people have already worked on the project for free. Proceeds from the sale of goods are returned to the project. The clip will be released tomorrow at Amsterdam’s sexyland. After that, Julia and the Briunion Boys hope more shows will follow.

Pub tour

“Of course we want to cross,” Julia explains. “It would be great to do a pub tour in the northwest of England. Before March 29, when England is due to leave the EU, we want to go out there and sing music.”
