The new Musou (1v1000) game Dynasty Warriors: Origins had its biggest showcase at the Chinajoy 2024 event in China.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a new and deeper interpretation of the traditional Three Kingdoms story. This story of the Yellow Turban Rebellion begins at a time of great turmoil. You play as a martial artist with amnesia who arrives in a village suffering from famine. Here, the main character meets Zhang Jiao, a person who helps the people, and Guan Yu, who is known for his injustice. The events of the Three Kingdoms are described in more detail in this game’s story, according to the developer. This makes this game suitable for both fans of the series and newcomers.
Combat has also been significantly improved. There are a massive number of enemies standing in your way, more than ever before in the series. Enemies now work together as well, but you can do so with your allies as well. Furthermore, it is sometimes possible in the story to temporarily work with Guan Yu and other officers.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is scheduled to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
