πŸ“· Woot van Aart is enjoying it to the fullest: β€œI couldn’t resist.”

Wout van Aert is still working on his comeback after his crash at the Vuelta. He hopped on his bike for a while and then visited a physical therapist.

After a severe crash in the Vuelta on September 3, Wout van Aart was forced to end the road season. He suffered a deep injury to his knee during the fall and had to stay in the hospital for a while.

Van Aert has now been back on his bike for about three weeks. On Tuesday, he trained for approximately 101 kilometers with Jan Bakelantis and Dan Sweet, and on Wednesday, Van Aart set out for an 87-kilometre ride.

Van Art enjoys the sunrise

On Thursday morning, Van Aart enjoyed a misty sunrise in Herenthals, but was limited to the 22.66-kilometre ride. β€œI can’t resist,” Van Aert wrote on his Strava. But strength also had to be saved for the afternoon.

Van Aert visited physiotherapist Thijs Hertsens from LAB Antwerp for some strength exercises. Hertsens also mentored Van Aert and Evenepoel during their rehabilitation after a fall in the spring.

While visiting the physiotherapist, Van Aart picked out a Red Devils jersey from a few years ago. A pair of pants from the Paris Olympics, where he won bronze in the time trial, were also taken out of the closet.
