12 Hours of Exercise for Mental Health During Social Running

Twelve hours of walking, running, cycling or rollerblading; participants will do it during the new “Social Run – 12 Hour Edition” event. On Saturday, September 7, participants will be challenged to take action for mental health, literally and figuratively.

the Social Work – 12 Hour Edition An accessible alternative to the traditional Social Run, which is being held for the 13th time this year, participants will walk, run, bike, skate or cycle kilometres between 9am and 9pm, always returning to the park.

More than just a sporting event

The Social Run is not just about covering the kilometres. The main goal of the race is to bring more attention to mental health. There is ample space during the event to share stories about mental health. Through these conversations, the organization hopes to create more connection and understanding between participants and visitors. A portion of the proceeds goes to projects that support young people.

Participation is winning

Just like a regular social race, the following also applies to this event: Participation means winning. It’s not about who covers the most kilometers, it’s about the participation itself and its impact on mental health.

Participants can choose how they want to participate: running, cycling, walking, rollerblading, wheelchair or handcycle, individually or as a team. The route is a circuit of approximately 5 kilometers that starts and ends at the Connecting People Festival site. You decide which activity you choose, how often you switch, and how much time you spend on breaks.
