Debbie Pfaff, 49, like her mother Carmen, 68, suffers from brittle bones, also known as osteoporosis. This forces her to try to live a cautious life, she says in an interview with the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

“I know I break my bones easily”

Debbie, the daughter of former Belgian football goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff, pays close attention to her health and tries to prevent falls. Because of her illness, her bones are less strong. “I know I break my bones easily, so I’m more likely to wear sneakers than high heels,” she explains.

When Debbie had surgery for a severe herniated disc in her neck two years ago, she couldn’t exercise for a long time. Now she’s doing everything she can to strengthen her muscles. “I hope I can stay healthy and happy for a long time,” she says.
