Search: Horse milk ice cream is delicious and healthy

Research conducted by the Technical University of Szczecin, Poland, shows that mare’s milk is suitable for producing yogurt and ice cream with prebiotics and probiotics. Polish scientists have discovered that mare’s milk not only provides a delicious taste, but also has health benefits.

The researchers used pasteurized mare’s milk to make four different types of ice cream—with different types of yogurt and the sweetener inulin. Tests were then conducted to determine how quickly the ice cream melted, how thick and creamy it was, what the different ice creams tasted like, their nutritional value, and what they looked like.

Nice creamy taste

The ice cream melted quickly, which the researchers attributed to the low fat content of the milk. The ice cream appeared white in color and had a pleasant, creamy taste.

Valuable functional food

“Mare’s milk is a suitable raw material for the production of yogurt ice cream and synthetic ice cream,” the researchers concluded. “Due to its unique composition, mare’s milk can be considered a valuable functional food that provides benefits to consumer health. There is great interest in the use of mare’s milk in food production.
