But it could get worse because of the stressful situation his family is currently in. “I have to stay calm and avoid stressful things as much as possible. This could cause problems again. It triggers the MS to become active. And that can have serious consequences: leg failure, blindness, you name it.”

Dealing with exes
Jasper tries his best to maintain contact with his daughter and ex-girlfriend, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for him. He is unable to even establish a contact arrangement. Fortunately, John van den Heuvel is able to track them down and reconnect with Jasper and Ruby in Mexico.
While trying to reconcile Ruby’s ex with Jasper, it becomes clear once again how much the situation is affecting Jasper’s health. As the two parties’ lawyers discuss the future, Jasper tries to reach out to him. “My arm hurts, I noticed right away that it was happening.”
Fortunately, the tension is not in vain. The lawyers return with good news. We have managed to make a deal with Ruby: Jasper will have a specific arrangement to visit his daughter. “We have to wait for the implementation,” Jasper says cautiously, “but we finally have something on paper.”
