Yoshi-P in the Final Fantasy 9 remake and the Xbox version of Final Fantasy 16

Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida, one of the current lead producers of the Final Fantasy series, spoke a little more about the possibilities for a Final Fantasy 9 remake and an Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy 16.

He did it in one Interview with video games. Starting with the last game, Yoshi-P has left no doubt that he wants to see a Final Fantasy 16 release on Xbox. “We have announced the PC version, so of course we also want to release the game on Xbox. But we cannot share anything about when the game might be released.”

He stressed: “I want to make it clear that there is hope, and we want to achieve that. Therefore, players must not lose hope.” So it looks like FF16 will finally be coming to Xbox, even though the game has not been officially announced for the platform yet. The PS5 RPG is now available on PC.

Yoshida also spoke about the possibility of a Final Fantasy 9 remake. “I know a lot of people are asking for this, but it’s a huge game. I wonder if it could fit into one game. It’s a tough game.” Yoshi-P states that he would personally like to see a Final Fantasy 3 remake.
