FC Barcelona has set its sights on Yannick Carrasco (29 years old), the Catalan sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo writes. The Red Devil would be possible within the limits of FFP, but for now Atlético Madrid do not want to let him go. Carrasco is not satisfied because he was promised a salary increase after the title in 2021, but Atlético Madrid has yet to meet him.

FC Barcelona is looking for possible opportunities within the financial limits, because the Catalan club is flirting with the limits of financial fair play in Spain. Two of the names Barcelona have set their sights on according to El Mundo Deportivo are Yannick Carrasco (Atlético) and Marcelo Brozovic (Inter).
It is only useful if there are departures. The most obvious name that qualifies for this is Memphis Depay. The Dutchman has been sidelined and has told the club he is willing to leave in January if he can join an interesting club. Atletico Madrid appeals to him.
Atletico Madrid aren’t willing to pay a transfer fee, but Carrasco could be a bit of a change.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devil wants to leave Atlético as he is still waiting for his promised salary increase. Carrasco is tired of waiting and Barcelona’s hopes.
Coach Xavi is also looking for an attacking left player. Currently, the file is stuck, because Atlético does not want to let go of Carrasco.
Barcelona is also considering another exchange: Brozovic from Inter for Frank Kessie. However, the Ivorian is happy at Barcelona, even though his playing time is limited.
Coach Xavi currently has no alternative to Busquets and sees Brozovic as suitable.
