The 44-year-old actor, who plays Screech on the Bell show saved on the popular 90s show, is said to be ‘scared to see a lump in his neck’.
He was admitted to the hospital after complaining of pain all over his body and now his worst fears have been confirmed with a cancer diagnosis.
Dustin Facebook Page confirmed the news in a statement to its fans.
It wrote: “At this point we can confirm that Dustin has cancer. Dustin will release more information as soon as he is available and a plan is being made to move forward.
“We urge everyone to respect Dustin’s privacy during this difficult time. All positives and prayers are appreciated.”

Dustin is in a hospital in Florida, where he was admitted for testing on Tuesday, and his team asked fans to send messages they could send to the actor.
He is said to have stage four cancers, but a representative told Dustin Today’s show Thursday “It’s serious, but we do not yet know how serious it is.”
They added on the show: “He’s going to be tested. He’s not feeling well. He’s in an unpublished hospital in Florida. We hope he recovers quickly.”
