Catherine, Princess of Wales gives a health update

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has become popular on Instagram. Prince William’s wife suffers from a type of cancer and talks on social media about her health and what the near future will look like.

In March, it was announced that Catherine was suffering from a type of cancer, and would therefore be out of public view for a while. After months of public absence, the Princess of Wales will be heard again on Friday evening. A photo of her was shared on Instagram, showing her leaning against a tree. An explanatory and personal message written below the photo.

“Good and bad days”

“I’ve been overwhelmed by all the beautiful messages of support and encouragement over the past few months. You’ve really made a huge difference to William and me and helped us through the tough times,” Catherine begins her letter. “I’m making good progress, but as anyone who’s gone through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak and tired and have to give in to the comfort of your body. Take advantage of that.”

Update about the near future

The Princess of Wales also gives an update on the annual Trooping the Color military parade taking place on Saturday. “I’m looking forward to attending the show with my family this weekend, and hopefully I’ll be able to do some public activities in the summer, but I also know I’m not out of the woods yet,” Katherine wrote. “I’m learning to be patient, especially with uncertainty. I take each day as it comes, listening to my body and giving myself the time I need to heal.” Finally, Catherine thanks the public for their “always understanding” and pays tribute to her fellow sufferers “who were so brave to share their story with her.”
