About twenty explosions occurred near the capital, Ajaccio, on Sunday night. The main targets were the second homes of French citizens, villas under construction and the former tax office. No injuries have been reported so far.

independence

Corsica has been demanding independence from France for years, and this is often accompanied by fires and bombings.

Ten days ago, President Emmanuel Macron visited her. He also offered Al Jazeera “independence within the republic,” which was not well received by everyone. Macron warned that such reform would be impossible without the approval of the French state.
