Finally, more printer options with AirPrint

If you regularly print from your iPhone or iPad, iOS 15 On iPadOS 15 offers significant noticeable improvements. Apple has enriched the printing palette for AirPrint printers with a greater number of settings, making them almost (but not quite) as complete as they are in macOS.

from Latest printers AirPrint support allows you to print from your iPhone or iPad without hassle. Settings have been somewhat limited so far, but iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 bring changes to that. You can now set page rotation and choose print quality and paper type.

New Printer Options iOS 15 and iPadOS 15

The new options are in both iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. Where in iOS 14 and earlier you can just choose pages and indicate whether you want to print in color/black and white and double-sided, there are plenty of options in iOS 15 and iPadOS. Starting with, you can now choose whether you want to print a page in landscape or portrait orientation. In addition, it is possible to select the paper and tray size. The last option is not visible in the screenshots below, because the printer in use only has one tray.

There is also an additional menu called Media and Quality Where you can determine what type of paper is in the printer and what the print quality can be. This makes it easier to save ink on a print test (set the quality to Concept). You can now also print serious photos by setting the media type to thick photo paper and maximum quality.

Almost the same as on macOS

Almost all the printing options available on a Mac are now available on iPhone and iPad as well. However, the macOS Print Module is a bit more comprehensive. For example, you can add headers there and print several pages on one sheet.
