Fossil Gen 6 teaser: “Way more, much faster”

Fossil was teasing the next generation of smartwatches before Samsung announced its Galaxy Watch 4 series. The manufacturer seems to be focusing on more options and more speed for its new smartwatches.

So we assume that Gen 6 watches will run on the new Wear OS 3. This platform comes with new functionality, becomes more user-friendly, has a longer (much-needed) battery life and integrates with Google’s Fitbit app. However, it is not clear if Fossil will use this platform since launch or if the watches will not be updated until 2022.

It also appears that Fossil is planning to publish Qualcomm’s Wear 4100 chipset, as it will focus on speed with the new smartwatches.
