Galaxy S20 and Watch 4

Samsung is completing this month in style and is now bringing the March update to the Galaxy S20 and Watch 4. The watch also receives the new Workout tracker job.

Galaxy S20 and Note 20 updated March 2024

Strictly following the Galaxy S24, S23, S22, and S21, the Galaxy S20 series is receiving the March update today. The update is also ready for the Galaxy Note 20, albeit for a little longer.

A 200MB+ update is being released for Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. Firmware version G98xxXXSJHXC1 does not introduce any major innovations, but it does introduce the March patch.

In addition, S20 FE models are also included, with firmware version G780FXXSFFXC1 for the 4G model number SM-G780F and firmware G780GXXS8EXC1 for the SM-G780G. G780GXXS8EXC1 firmware is ready for your S20 FE 5G (SM-G781B).

The same thing happens on the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, with a more than 230MB update to the N98xxXXSAHXC4 firmware.

The March patch installs about 37 security improvements for Android — and nine for Samsung's own software and apps.

Installation and availability

The March update is now immediately available to everyone Unbranded Versions of the phones mentioned are in the Netherlands, Belgium and the rest of Europe. Only for some described devices, you may have to wait a little longer.

You can manually check availability on your device instantly via Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install.

Galaxy Watch update March 4, 2024

Just like with the Galaxy S series phones, Samsung is also completing the list of Wear OS-equipped watches this month. We've already seen an update for the Galaxy Watch 6 and 5 models. Today, the same update is available on the Bluetooth models of Watch 4 (Classic).

Like other models, the Watch 4 will receive an update with the March patch and Workout tracker job. This allows you to view your workout data on your new Samsung TV, projector, or monitor. You must have one of these newer generation devices and use the same Samsung account on your watch and TV.

You can already install the update on the Bluetooth versions of the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. If you have a model with 4G connectivity, you'll have to wait a little longer. go to Wearable On your phone to the Watch 4 screen, select Clock settings And check availability via Watch software updates.
