The Harry Potter movies are full of the most famous and best actors from the United Kingdom. One of those actors is Gary Oldman, who plays Harry Potter’s godfather Sirius Black. Although fans were happy with Oldman’s role, the actor himself is not satisfied with his performance in the films.
On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the British actor described his acting as “average.” He regrets not reading the books before taking on the role. He thinks he would have been able to empathize with the role better if he had known what Sirius Black’s fate would be.

Oldman: “I think my work in those films is mediocre. If I had read the books and known what was going to happen, I think I would have made different choices as an actor.
