The start of the year in September has become a big event in the UK, as this is when the new academic year begins at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. London’s King’s Cross station always has a special announcement across platform 9 ¾ on September 1, reminding students not to miss the train to Scotland, and needless to say, all those Harry Potter celebrations seem to translate into selling boxed toys in the country.
Because the Hogwarts legacy is back on top UK packaged charts, knocked Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon off the top spot last week. As for the rest of the top ten, there’s only one new addition, Starfield’s Premium Edition Upgrade, which is at #7 on the charts.
The full list is as follows:
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom’s Tears
- Sixth base armor: Fire Rubicon
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- Starfield Premium upgrade
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Maine Craft
- FIFA 23
Other than that, it’s worth noting that Forspoken and Final Fantasy XVI are back in the top 40, as is Saints Row after its inclusion on PlayStation Plus no doubt, and perhaps Gran Turismo 7 due to the movie currently in theaters. The big title that seems to be missing is Immortals of Aveum, which is nowhere to be seen despite not being released until August 22nd.
