Holland Short Film Festival Film Dinner in different restaurants in North Holland

Area – Eat and watch special short festival films, possible during the Netherlands Short Film Festival. The submission deadline for filmmakers has now closed, and the jury is busy making a selection. The selected films will be screened during a special movie dinner in different restaurants in North Holland. The program includes many comedies and happy films, but also beautiful films that you only see at festivals.

Movies last from two to thirty minutes and are shown during dinner. Between sessions you can watch special films from all over the world. The 2024 edition includes films from Japan, Iran, Tunisia, France, Italy, Germany, India, Korea, the United Kingdom, America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, in short, films from about 47 different countries and cultures.

Merlet in Schoorl, Duin en Kruidberg in Santpoort-Noord, IJkgebouw and The Fallon Hotel in Alkmaar, Eendracht in Hilversum, Lab44 in Zaandam and many other restaurants in Hoorn, Purmerend, Velsen, Amstelveen, Heerhugowaard and Bergen are participating restaurants in the Nordic Netherlands. From January 12 to 21, guests will be offered a film menu featuring exquisite dishes and beautiful short films from all over the world, from professional and amateur filmmakers.

Previous editions in Bergen were organized by Peter Bosman: “Watching films during dinner creates a special atmosphere, people started talking to each other, it’s a really great evening, everyone has a lot of food for conversation. All the visitors were very excited. Because there were so many short films “Different, there is always something that catches your attention. Plus, you see movies that you don’t see anywhere else. Very special, highly recommended.”
