Jurgen Globe never thought about life at Manchester United – despite revealing his close friendship with Liverpool boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

When asked about his decision, Klopp said: “I never thought it would be like this in Manchester, not once, not even for a second.
“I’m totally fine here, I’m in the right place. That’s so good.
“The weather in Liverpool is even better than in Manchester for some reason!”

He joined Reds boss Ferguson, Kenny Dollisch and England head coach Gareth Southgate at a virtual charity event on Friday evening.
Globe has outlined his relationship with the former United manager.
“Alex and I, we have contact,” he said. “He does text. Alex changes his phone number frequently and I always get a new version. It’s a great honor.
I got a message saying “This is my new number” and ‘Aha!’ I think so. I don’t change my number often – maybe I should!
“I have a good relationship with Alex. We are friends when we work together for something good, but on Sunday he wants Manchester United to win and I want Liverpool to win.”
