During a neighborhood safari in Sittard East, residents can imagine themselves as tourists in their city on Sunday, April 2, and get to know their surroundings and powers better.

You can meet professionals and volunteers from more than 55 organizations active in the region in the areas of health, sports, welfare, culture, lifestyle, volunteering, meeting and engagement.

The program includes “feeding the lion moments” or highlights such as therapy through virtual reality, making a smoothie from mixed fruit at home while cycling, participating in a cognitive skills test, a puppet doctor, a health test, a dance performance, and an assertiveness workshop.

Neighborhood safaris will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at two locations: Poppodium Volt (Odasingel 88) and in the Alpine Hunting Association building (Albrecht Rodenbachstraat 37) in Sittard. The two are within walking distance of each other, but it is also possible to make free use of the Plusbus and rickshaws that shuttle between the sites.

The organization is in the hands of Het Knooppunt Informele Zorg and GP practicing De Baandert. Admission is free and registration is not required.
