Asda has launched the LEAF Marque certification for all fruit and vegetable growers in the UK to raise its environmental standards. All UK-based growers will be LEAF Marque certified by May next year and global suppliers will be certified by the end of 2025.

Pepco sales are increasing
European discount retailer Pepco Group reported a 22.8% rise in first-half sales as its low prices lured cash-strapped customers and opened a net 166 new stores. The Warsaw-listed group’s revenue for the six months ended March 31 was €2.8 billion. Sales increased by 11.1% in the first half and 8.5% in the second quarter.
