Lil Klein in court after being assaulted

Dutch prosecutors will try rapper Lil Klein for assault. The rapper must appear in court in Amsterdam on September 8, along with two men, aged 49 and 51, from Boxtel. The issue will not be dealt with objectively at that time.

Yorick Schulten, as the 26-year-old artist is called, allegedly assaulted a man at the Olivia Club on Rembrandt Square in Amsterdam on the night of December 6-7, 2019. It later emerged that two other suspects were involved. The 28-year-old victim filed a police report.

The three suspects were summoned for a so-called pre-trial hearing on September 8. The Public Prosecution said, on Friday, that it is a public session in which the court is informed of the status of the investigation, and in which a decision is made on any requests from the defense. It is then possible that a date for substantive treatment will be scheduled.

Lil Klein was arrested in Spain in May of this year on suspicion of assaulting his fiancée Jimmy Weiss. The rapper spent two nights in the Spanish cell and appeared before the Spanish court. Shortly thereafter, the case was unconditionally dropped for lack of evidence.
