Luxembourg recognizes Moroccans again

Since Friday 29 October 2021, third-country nationals can travel to Luxembourg with a certificate, considered equivalent by Luxembourg, certifying that they have been fully vaccinated. This certificate must be issued by Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Faroe Islands, Israel, Morocco, Monaco, Panama, North Macedonia, United Kingdom, San Marino, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine or the Vatican.

These travelers will be granted access to Luxembourg, including non-essential travel, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs regarding temporary travel restrictions. “Citizens of other countries may also enter the territory of the Grand Duchy, if the trip is necessary. For this purpose, an express request must be sent via e-mail ([email protected]) to the Passport Office, the same source said that visas and attestation with the aim of issuing a certificate specific”.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs explains that “a certificate issued by a member state of the European Union or the Schengen area is considered equivalent in this respect, as is a certificate issued by a third country which is considered equivalent under bilateral recognition by Luxembourg or by an executive decision of the European Commission.”

In addition to the certificate, other health procedures apply to air travel to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. All persons aged 12 years and 2 months and over must present a certificate of vaccination with complete vaccination against coronavirus, or a certificate of recovery in accordance with European regulations, when boarding, and have a negative result in a PCR test taken less than 72 hours before the start of Flight, an antigen test or antigen test shall be performed less than 48 hours prior to flight by a medical laboratory or other authorized body.
