On Thursday, Queen Maxima participated in a conference on the importance of employees’ financial health in the business world. She gave a speech and was at the signing of the letter of intent to found the National Coalition for Financial Health.
In her speech, Queen Maxima discussed, among other things, how companies can use the platform to share knowledge and experience to help employees with financial problems and contribute to their financial health.
The Queen also met Dan Shulman. The CEO of Paypal told how his company helps employees with financial problems and thus contributes to their financial health. The matter was discussed on stage. Other senior people gave insight into how the organizations they work for deal with the problem. Deloitte and Schuldenlab presented the results of a survey among employers about the consequences of debt problems among their employees.
In addition to Maxima, Minister Carola Schouten, who is responsible for poverty, participation and pension policy, attended. At the end of the conference, the directors signed a letter of intent to establish the National Coalition for Financial Health.
