Medius appoints Emma Brown to the position of CFO

Emma Brown joins Medius at a pivotal time in the company’s growth. Medius has recently completed major acquisitions, including the acquisition of the company Expensesa Paris-based expense management software provider, in July this year and from OnPaySolutionsa Jacksonville-based bill payment services company, in March 2022. In August, the global fintech company opened a new U.S. headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.

Emma Brown, who will be based in London, will be responsible for guiding Medius on its ambitious plan to double its turnover by 2025. In the long term, she will oversee the financial health of the company as Medius continues its mission of eliminating fraud and corporate inefficiencies by providing solutions Software based on artificial intelligence to process invoices and manage expenses. As a digital transformation leader, Emma Brown will be committed to product development. As CFO, she represents the views of Medius clients as CFOs seek to increase productivity and financial control.

Emma Brown has 14 years’ experience scaling high-growth technology companies around the world. She joins Medius from consumer intelligence accelerator platform Talkwalker, where she served as group CFO. She will retain her position on the board there. Before Talkwalker, Emma Brown worked in the technology sector in both the UK and Australia, including at MedicalDirector, Smartways Logistics and Altium. Brown is a chartered accountant with a background in auditing and consulting at EY, BDO and KPMG.

Emma Brown holds an MBA from the University of Sydney, where she was awarded a Fellowship from UN Women Australia, an organization that works to promote gender equality in leadership and women’s economic empowerment. She received the scholarship in recognition of her commitment to positive and inclusive social change, particularly in her advocacy for parental leave and diversity policies.
